In her professional capacity, Angelina is a licensed, practicing, mental health practitioner and works as a high school social worker in Ithaca, NY. She began using needle felt techniques with her students, and noticed a profound impact. This developed into an opportunity to offer wordless narratives to individuals and groups engaged in healing work, and is the foundational work of her future doctoral study.
"At times, the act of verbalizing one’s experience, trauma or grief can serve to intensify that experience. Felting a narrative allows an individual, or a group, to record their experience or their emotions; to physically engage with the art of their life, without ever having to say a word. "
